Passing through Gulfport and Biloxi was an experience not forgotten easily. On the one hand, this place really got tore up, but on the other, the people were upibeat and ready to rebuild. Not may things were untouched by the hurricanes, even the churches took heavy hits. Many old houses along US 90 that have been there for generations are now gone. Construction is underway, but you have to wonder if they'll be able to replace those beautiful old homes. An even bigger question might be - should they?
