Along the way we passed through the town of Carcross. The naming of Carcross was interesting. Originally it was Caribou Crossing, however this became confusing as there were many other Caribou Crossings taken from the First Nation Tribal names for places. So the name was changed to Carcross, a combining of Caribou Crossing.
