8/02/05. Another kayak looking day. The weather was still a bit damp and cool, but - hey - if you wait for the perfect day, you'll nver get out. Especially here in the rain capitol, Alaska. Anyway, we chose to use one of the local tour companies as Rusty wanted to get in some paddle time as well. I went with Pangaea because I had just read an article by another paddler on the web stating what a great time he had. We only chose the 1/2 day tour around Duck Flats (the shallow end of the arm) due to the poor weather conditions. We found out later in the day that the cruise ships had to cancel because of a gale storm coming up out in Prince William Sound.
