8/02/05. Rusty and his "crew" get an up close look at a Bald Eagle in the tree on shore. Because this was a nesting pair, you are not allowed to stop paddling while in the vicinity (according to Meagan), so Christa kept paddling while I took this shot. Not that it's that good of a shot, the little sony can only do so much from this distance. Tomorrow, we hit the raod again heading north with a destination of Gakona, AK. Our next good rest will come in Destruction Bay, YT, in 3 days. I'll be ready for it by then. But, there should be some good paddling opportunity on the lake there as well. See you there.
