Sitting in Whitehorse, YT (Yukon Territory)
Right now, we're in the Pioneer RV park near Whitehorse, YT. The road is starting to tell on a lot of people and the vehicles. Bruce and Marie have a bad oxygen sensor of some type, we had to have the ramps for the dolly re-welded in Destruction Bay as they had cracked and were close to dumping the toad (towed vehicle, Mom's minivan in this case), Ted and Jan's pooches are sick, Sid and Iva had to get a new windshield in Anchorage, Chuck and Kathy had to have a leaky valve extender looked after in Destruction Bay as well, Peggy took a painful little spill today getting out of their rig, and others are reporting little things going wonkers in the RVs. On the good side, Robert is feeling better, Joanne seems to be losing her limp from an earlier fall, Lucy is better from the mysterious illness she contracted the last time we were in Whitehorse. Another item that falls into the "next time" category will be paddling the Yukon River. I had hoped to get some in on our return, but the road was bad making for a long bumpy ride (and tiring), and we had a list of to-do's for this stop. So, as soon as we got here, we dropped the toad and hit the streets for Walmart, the clinic (for Mom's back), the vet to have Lucy's razor like claws clipped and for me to try and find a fix for a friends camera flash card that my machine rendered unreadable. Everything got done except the latter, could not find someone to recover the lost data for less that $500 Can. I think I just found my next line of business. That's about it, for now. An early turn-in (hopefully) and an early rise for the next stop in North Beaver Post, YT.
